Preparation time : 25-30 mins

Recipe for Moong Dal Halwa
Step 1:

Firstly take a bowl and pour moong daal into it . Pour water. Soak moong daal in water for 1 to 2 hrs.
Step 2:

After soaking in water we have to strain the water off.
Step 3:

Now spread the moong daal on a Turkish/cotton cloth. And let it there for 15-20 mins till it becomes totally dry.
Guys this step to make our moong daal totally dry is very important else the halwa will become too sticky that we don’t want.
Step 4:

Make a thick paste of dried moong daal in mixer. Don’t add water.
Step 5:

Put a deep pan on high flame add 1 cup ghee. As the ghee starts to melt add the moong daal paste.
Step 6:

Fold in and lumps will be formed, break it to as small as possible using a spatula. If the mixture starts sticking too much at bottom add some more ghee occasionally(left 1 cup ghee).
Step 7:

In another pan heat some ghee and add all the dry fruits.
Step 8:

Add cardamon powder to milk.
Step 9:

Add the cardamon+milk to main deep pan.
Step 10:

Keep folding it and scrapping the mixture stuck at the bottom.
Step 11:

Add Sugar and mix well to combine with the mixture.

Such thick mixture is formed. With time the color starts getting dark.
Step 12:

Add mawa and fold in to make a smooth heavy mixture.
Step 13:

At this point left ghee can be added to make Halwa smoother.

Halwa is almost ready with rich flavor and coffee brown in texture.
Step 14:

Add all the ghee coated dry fruits & mix.

Almost all of what you mention is supprisingly appropriate and that makes me wonder the reason why I hadn’t looked at this with this light before. But there is actually just one point I am not really too comfy with and while I attempt to reconcile that with the central theme of your point, permit me observe what all the rest of the subscribers have to say.Very well done.
