For such buddies, I am back with an amazing and tasty recipe of lavash. Guys this recipe for lavash is really easy to make and gets ready in just 10 mins. And the best part is you don’t need to rush out for finding and shopping ingredients. Although its a bread you won’t require yeast.
This lavash recipe without yeast can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 months. The lavash showed in the below image is made from a single dough. The measurements I have mentioned here make such five doughs. That would be enough for a minimum week if you snack on it daily.

Recipe of lavash
First of all we will take a bowl with flour. Add sugar, salt and coriander to it. And mix well.
Now we will dig a well in the center and add some water. Now time to get our hands dirty…. we begin to combine the mixture using our hands. Add water as required.
We have to make a medium soft dough like this. Avoid using too much water else our dough will become sticky .
Now incorporate butter into the dough. What meant by this is we have to spread the dough and force the butter into it. Our dough will start to get a bit elastic and soft at the same time.
We will end up with a smoother dough like this in the image on left.
Break the dough into small flat balls like this. As I have mentioned before this recipe of lavash will give you five doughs
Lets take a rolling pin and board. Instead of board you can also use clean marble top. Dust the board/top with some flour.
Use rolling pin to roll the dough into flat and thin like this.While rolling the dough it may trap some air. In such case we can make use of a fork to burst those bubbles.
Spread the Sesame seeds, Oregano Sprinkle, Chilli Flakes. Don’t worry if you don’t have all these sprinkles anyone would be enough. Press it a little into the bread.
If you don’t press the sprinkle into bread it may fall off after baking so its a necessary step guys.
We will make use of cutter/ knife to cut the triangular Lavash shapes. Well its your choice you can make it of any shape size you prefer.
Preheat oven @ 200°C for 5 to 6 mins. Put the tray in the oven @ 200°C for about 10 mins.
The baking time may vary. So make sure that the bread comes out hard and light brown in color. Let it cool completely outside. Serve with cheese or any of your favorite sauce.
- White Flour: 2 cups
- Salt: 1 pinch
- Sugar(powdered): 1 tsp
- Coriander leaves(chopped): 2 tsp
- Butter: 2 tbsp / ¼th slab
- Water(warm): 1 cup(as per your requirement to knit dough)
- Roasted Sesame seeds(black/white): 1-2 tsp
- Oregano Sprinkle(optional): 1-2 tsp
- Chilli Flakes(optional): 1-2 tsp
